Hello all,

The newest art forum art contest is up! Check it out here.

Poxpower has gotten a few peeps to start the contest rolling, now it's your turn to create a Newgrounds Miniposter Chick! There is hope that the finished artwork will be compiled and printed - a booklet of which will be given to each winner (as far as I'm aware). There are approximately 25 spots to be won, so get your arses in gear and start reading the rules here in the art thread, or here on Poxpower's site. Also, here is the discussion thread for this contest.

Goodluck!

Can I ask you what art did you contribute to Thing Thing arena 3?
:D

Hi, yeah sure. ^_^

I created the background tiles for all of the levels (so basically, the scene artwork).

hmm...well the deadline is close and i cant finish my entry... http://bbsimg.ngfiles.com/14/19050000 /ngbbs49f53e04c8815.jpg ...do you think you can give me some of that constructive criticism thing?...mainly on colouring

are you planning on entering more art in the contest or are you happy with one?

Hey Jordan,

Wow, I like your chick, she's hot! It seems you get how to do the shadows and highlighting (from the look of her skin), so I won't mention the flat green as you'll prollies get to that and do it the same way. I'd probably see about adding hints of green along the prominent features of the skull, as if her outfit were being picked up slightly by the edges of the smooth bone.

Also, the purple background - you could try adding sharp high and lowlights to edges of both the figure and the skull in tones of that bg purple to help tie them to thier surroundings. It looks like you've done this with the skull in it's general shadows, but sharper/thinner lines at edges (to detail) would help too. Awesome image so far, dude! ^_^

I'm actually working on another image for it, but I don't know what event to make it for, so.. I'll probably just make something up! Haha ;D

Hey Joy

thanks for the advise ill finish it when i get back to town...it sucks that i cant get it done before the deadline...i shoulda taken time off work to try finish it
